Foundation Pistol

Service Description

This is a prerequisite course to introduce the new shooter to the semiautomatic handgun. We will cover: Operation of a semiautomatic handgun, safety, holsters, belts, what gear you actually need, shooting range prep, utilizing your work space, conceal carry position from a woman's perspective, both off and on body carry positions, basics of gripping a pistol, sight alignment & sight picture, how to choose a pistol for your hand size and how to lock a slide to the rear. We will also be covering situational awareness and scenario based discussions. Feel free to bring your pistol in a case unloaded to use for the hands on portion. Bring: Note taking materials, empty semi-automatic pistol (if you have one, can bring spouses pistol as well) then bring a snack and a great attitude!

Cancellation Policy

No refunds are issued for no shows or student cancellations. The option would be to use course credit to attend a future course date instead.
