Foundation Pistol + OR CHL Certification Cost: $150 This foundational course is designed to introduce new shooters to the safe operation of a semiautomatic handgun. No prior experience is required. In this course, we’ll cover: • Firearm safety and safe handling • Operation of a semiautomatic handgun • Holster and belt setup • Concealed carry positions for women (on-body and off-body) • Gear recommendations and range prep • How to grip a pistol, lock the slide, and choose the right firearm for your hand size • Sight alignment, sight picture, and using your workspace • Situational awareness and real-world scenario discussions • Hands-on training with training guns in the classroom We will spend time going over Oregon laws you should know before you conceal carry. Photos and fingerprints are not taken in the class, this must be done at your local Sheriff's office later on to finish your application process.
